It was a cold and stormy night. Usually, Blaze the Cat would be over at her boyfriend Sonic's house. Not tonight. Not after what she had just witnessed. She swore to herself to never turn back, no matter how much he begged her to come back. The memories of their relationship was bitter sweet, making the tears cascade down the lavender cat's eyes. She just needed to get away from here, to go home. But where was home? She looked around, noting she was at a park. She sighed to herself and kept walking, the cold rain pounding against her back, the wind whipping at her face. If only she had brought her umbrella, maybe she wouldn't be so cold. It was too late to think about that now, noting the storm was only progressing. She continued walking, her sneakers making a patting sound as she made her way down the sidewalk.

On the other side of the park, a silvery-gray hedgehog made his way through the rain. The icy cold rain beat against his umbrella, making a patting sound against the black waterproof nylon fabric. He was using his psychokinesis to hold the umbrella since he already had his hands full with a wrapped package. He had spent all day at the stores, hoping to find the perfect present for his best friend Blaze since the following day was their friendaversery. Now he had it. All he needed to do was to keep it away from her until the tomorrow.

As he made his way down the sidewalk, he noticed a familiar lavender cat making her way down the sidewalk the opposite direction from him. Silver started to panic, not wanting his friend to see his present. Quickly, he used his psychokinesis to hide the box in the row of nearby trees and bushes then took the umbrella into his hand, acting casual. As Blaze approached, Silver rushed in front of her, blocking her path. The cat had been so preoccupied with her own thoughts, she had suddenly felt herself bump into something. She looked up to meet a pair of very familiar honey yellow eyes. Though seeing her friend after a while should of made her happy, deep down she was still heart broken. For the sake of her best friend, she gave him a hug, a half-hearted smile on her face.

"Hey Silv" she managed to choke out. Silver blinked his eyes a few times, picking up the miserable tone in her voice. He placed his arm around her, guiding her down the sidewalk with him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Blaze refused to look up at her friend, not wanting him to see her cry. Worriedly, he placed his arm around her, hoping it would supply a little more warmth to her. Blaze's lavender fur was drenched in icy rain water but at this moment, Silver didn't care. What he wanted, what he needed to do, was to get Blaze home. He didn't want her to get sick and he figured she should eat something. After a few minutes, they finally arrived at a familiar white house with blue trimming. Blaze took the house keys out of her pocket, hands and keys shaking as she extended her arm to unlock the door. Silver bit his bottom lip, worried about Blaze's health. He looked at the package hiding in a bush next to Blaze's door. He sighed mentally, glad she didn't notice the corner of the medium box sticking out of the bush.

Blaze opens the door and switches on the lights. The living room looked the same since he last visited. The room was still a pale blue with the white couch, the glass coffee table right across from it. Pictures of Blaze and her friends at their funnest moments hung on the wall. Silver quickly took the box out of the bush and went inside. As Blaze went to sit on the couch, he quickly placed the box next to the couch. After he set it down, he went and slipped off Blaze's sneakers, placing them next to the package. He left the room for a few moments to get her a blanket, knowing it would help her warm up and dry off.

As he was about to enter the room, he heard muffled sobs. Silver turned the corner and stood by the door, seeing  Blaze with her legs propped against her chest and arms wrapped around her knees. She had her head on her lap, the sobs quietly escaping her throat. Silver's ears flattened against his head. He hated seeing the lavender cat in so much pain. He slowly walked by her side, draping the soft, warm blanket around her shoulders. Blaze looked up at Silver, her white muzzle streaked with new tears. Silver scooted next to his friend,  placing his arms around her in a friendly embrace. She unfolded herself and laid on the warm tuft of fur on his chest, starting to feel a little better. Seeing how she was starting to feel better, Silver took this as a chance to talk to her.

"So Blaze, how are you? Did you go over to Sonic's today?"

"I was fine until I went to that cheater's house" Silver's ears shot straight up. He looked down at his friend, noticing her eyes were becoming glass-like again. He placed his hand on her back, making soothing circular motions in an attempt to calm her down.

"If you don't want to, you don't need to tell me what happened" he replied. She looked up at Silver, the pain still visible in her eyes and let out a shaky sigh.

"Okay. I was on my way to his house. I was happy since we had a date so  I had taken the time to get ready. But when I enter his living room... when I enter that living room, I see him kissing Amy!" Her voice cracked saying this, recalling how crushed she had been when she witnessed that. "Sonic saw me and let go of Amy. As I ran away, he kept calling out to me, begging me to come back. I refused and ran for hours. When the storm started, I was about to go home but I was confused, I had no idea where I was so I just roamed the land, hoping I would find my way back"

"But then I found you" Silver finished. Blaze nodded, wrapping her damp arms around his torso and placing her head on his shoulder. He started to pat her back, feeling sorry for his friend. "Aw Blaze" They stayed in the same position for a few moments. As Blaze pulled away, she noticed a box poking around the corner of her couch. She looked past Silver, keeping her eyes on the object.

"Silver? Why is there a box next to my couch?"

"Huh?!" Silver looked over his shoulder, noticing the sky blue wrapping paper. He groaned to himself and got up. He took the box from it's supposed to be cache and sat back down, placing the box on his lap. Silver kept his eyes on the box, thinking to himself what he should do. "You see, tomorrow is the anniversary of the first day we met. I spent all day looking for the perfect present for you..." He slid the box into Blaze's hand. Her eyes widened, realizing what he was about to say. "But since you found it, you can open it early"

Blaze blinked her eyes a few times. She slid the box closer to Silver, shaking her head. "No. Save it for tomorrow" Silver pushed the box onto Blaze's lap, a small smile on his face. "Go on ahead, I insist" laze bit her lip, examining the flat, medium sized box on her lap. She picked it up. It was fairly light weight. The box was wrapped in sky blue wrapping paper, a silver ribbon on the top right corner. She smiled, sliding her finger between the flap of the folded wrapping paper. She tossed the paper on the floor and opened the box. Her expression softened and a small smile spread across her face as she lifted a mahogany frame out of the box and looked at the picture. It was a picture of their first winter in green hill zone. Silver wore a brown jacket and a white scarf around his neck. Blaze was wearing a magenta wool coat. Her hair was worn loose over her shoulder, a magenta hat on her head. Silver had his arms wrapped around her from when he had surprised her with a hug. They both had a big smile on their face from laughing. In the background, there were snowflakes falling and many pine trees. Shadow was chasing Sonic, only appearing as a blue and gold streak in the background. Vector was lifting Cream by her waist, Cream placing a blueberry nose on her snow rabbit. She laughed to herself, recalling after the picture how Charmy had attacked them with snowballs.

When she was about to place the picture back into the box, she noticed something shine. She flipped the box over, something small landing on her thigh. She picked it up, her mouth open in awe. It was a gold charm bracelet. There were five individual charms spread equally along the chain. One was in the shape of a lit flame, signaling her powers. The next was a crown, reminding her she was royalty. The third was a snowflake, signaling their first winter. The fourth charm was a B, the first initial of her name. The last charm were two hearts linked together, a diamond dangling in the middle. Blaze looked up at Silver, raising an eyebrow.

"What does this one stand for?" Silver smiled, placing his finger right under the charm, letting the point of the biggest heart tickle the tip of his finger.

"This one signals how strong our friendship is. The hearts are linked together, showing nothing can ever tear us apart. The diamond signals the end of every tunnel, reminding you there is always hope" Blaze looked at the charm in awe. She never knew Silver could be so... sentimental. She looked into Silver's gold eyes, a warm feeling forming in her rapid beating heart. When Silver was about to get up, Blaze wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a warm kiss. The kiss lasted a moment before the lavender cat pulled away, her face flushing a deep pink. She looked up at Silver who looked too lost for words. Blaze looked down, feeling she had messed up  their whole friendship.

"I'm sorry, Silv. I don't know what came over me."

As she got up to walk upstairs, she felt a hand go over hers. She opened her eyes and looked up right before Silver pulled her into another kiss, deeper and longer than the last. She felt her eyes slowly close and her arms wrap around his neck once again as she returned the kiss. After a couple of minutes, the two broke away panting for air. Blaze looked up at Silver and smiled. She placed her head on his chest fur, closing her eyes and sighing in content.

"Thank you Silver. For everything" Silver smiled, placing his hand on her head and stroking on her soft lavender hair.

"Your welcome. Blaze?"

"Hm?" she asked before yawning. Silver leaned down, placing a kiss on the top of her head. Before Blaze fell asleep against Silver's warm tuft of chest fur, she heard Silver say the three magic words.

"I love you" She smiled. Before falling into a deep sleep, she mentally said to herself, as if he could read her mind 'I love you two'. Silver smiled, feeling warm and fuzzy inside hearing Blaze mumble those words before falling asleep. He smiled and laid him and herself on the couch. She laid asleep forward, her nose taking in the scent of Silver's sweet fur. Silver closed his eyes and smiled, placing the blanket around themselves. Before falling asleep, he wrapped his arms around her, feeling the very tip of her tail brush against his arm.

"Sweet dreams my love", Silver said managed in between a yawn. "Sweet dreams."
Yes after much though, I decided to post this on DA!

That was so beautiful!

In my perfect world, silver x blaze, amy x jet, tails x cosmo and sonic x NOBODY!!!! Sonic doesn't deserve anybody. Sonic likes to be alone in sonic x so that's how he should stay.
